23/3/14 My Style Story

My style has been all over the place since I was little to now. When I was a child, my mum dressed me very nicely with cute girly dresses and adorable little shoes. I was the classic girly lil’ girl growing up and the way I dressed reflected that. Mum would let me choose from time to time in what I bought when I was smaller, but obviously now I do that on my own. I went from being quite a girly girl, to a punk-looking tween, and then once again to girly with added quirkiness and attitude.

Believe it or not, when I was around eight or nine, my wardrobe consisted of nothing but the colour (or shade if you want to be picky) black. My mum always told me that “black goes with everything”, which is true, but when you’re young you mistake things easily. Instead of what she said, I heard it as “black should be worn with everything”. So I then went out looking like I was constantly going to a funeral. Then when I was ten to around thirteen, I got some sense knocked into me and began owning clothes with more colours other than black. This was the stage though in which I developed a little taste in what I currently wear now, but I could not wear it as I was too small and less mature for that sort of style. So what I wore usually sat awkward on my very skinny and lanky body.  Luckily with maturity, age and more curves, I could finally wear the things I was dreaming of for those tween years.

I believe in dressing for your age and how you look. I can’t stand when I see ten-year-old girls sporting heels and mini skirts who also have a dirty mouth. This society is very funny with that sort of thing. When I was ten, I wore cute graphic tee’s and jeans. Now I see those girls with snap backs and tube tops that show their tissue-stuffed bras and non existent cleavages. It bugs me.

My sister is currently at the age of this awkward transition between fitting mainly into kids clothing, but also fitting into some/liking more mature clothes and wanting to look cool. When I out grow some things or just don’t want certain items, I give them to her. It’s the most adorable thing seeing her try on my old clothes. However, for a twelve-year-old, she has more of an ass and boob shape then I had at that age, and she is tall too. With that said, she can I suppose get away with wearing the same or similar clothes I do, even though I am older than her.

Anyway, for me as you know, I dress in a very stylish, girly, and sometimes if I feel the need to, sexy manor. My style very much expresses my personality. Unique, quirky and very devious.

I hope you liked the little insight into my style story.
